Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using HorseStat ("the platform", "the service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform. These terms apply to all users, including free and paid subscribers.

2. About HorseStat

HorseStat is a horse racing data and analysis platform. It provides statistical data, ratings, and analytical tools to help users research horse races. HorseStat does not offer betting advice, tips, or any form of financial guidance. All data is provided for informational and research purposes only.

3. Not a betting service

HorseStat is an analysis tool — not a betting service or tipster. The HorseStat Rating and all other data provided on the platform are designed to aid your own research and decision-making. They are not predictions, guarantees, or recommendations to place bets.

Any betting decisions you make are entirely your own responsibility. HorseStat accepts no liability for losses incurred as a result of acting on information displayed on the platform. Please gamble responsibly.

4. Accounts

You must be 18 years of age or older to create an account. By registering, you confirm that all information you provide is accurate and up to date.

HorseStat uses passwordless authentication — to sign in, you enter your email address and we send you a secure sign-in link. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure. You must not share your sign-in links with others or allow third parties to access your account. If you suspect unauthorised access, contact us immediately at contact@horsestat.com.

5. Subscriptions and billing

HorseStat offers the following access plans:

• Free plan — full racecard access with all data columns, no time limit
• 48-hour pass — full platform access for 48 hours from the time of purchase. Access ends automatically when the period expires. There is nothing to cancel.
• Monthly subscription — full platform access billed on a recurring monthly basis. You may cancel at any time. Access continues until the end of your current billing period.

If you purchase a 48-hour pass and subsequently upgrade to a monthly subscription before it expires, the remaining value of your pass will be credited against your first month's payment. The credit reflects the amount you paid — if a promo code was applied, the credit is based on the discounted price.

All payments are processed securely by our payment provider. We do not store card details.

6. Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel a monthly subscription at any time from the Account section in the app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will not be charged again and you retain access until that date.

48-hour passes are non-refundable once access has begun.

We do not offer refunds on monthly subscriptions for unused portions of a billing period, except where required by law.

7. Account deletion

You may delete your account at any time from the Account section in the app. On deletion:

• All personal data associated with your account is permanently removed
• Any active subscription is cancelled immediately
• This action is irreversible — deleted accounts and data cannot be recovered

If you recreate an account using the same email address, any previously active subscription plan will still be recognised until its original end date. Signing up with a different email will not restore prior access.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to scrape, copy, or redistribute data from HorseStat without written permission
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or interfere with the platform's systems
• Share your sign-in links or account access with others, or resell access to the platform
• Use automated tools to access the platform at scale

Violation of these terms may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without refund.

9. Intellectual property

All content on HorseStat — including the HorseStat Rating algorithm, data presentation, design, and written content — is the intellectual property of HorseStat. You may not reproduce, republish, or distribute any part of the platform without prior written consent.

Underlying racing data is sourced from third-party providers and is subject to their own licensing terms.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

HorseStat is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. While we strive to ensure data accuracy, we cannot guarantee that all information is complete, up to date, or error-free at all times.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HorseStat shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the platform, including any losses related to betting or wagering decisions.

11. Changes to the service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the platform at any time. Where changes significantly affect paid subscribers, we will provide reasonable notice where possible.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from the use of HorseStat shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
